There are number of calculable as well as intangible benefits derived by working with G2. Further, it’s important to note that benefits vary per engagement and with the mix of services rendered, so it’s diffucult to calculate a single savings figure reflecting the sum total. Hopefully, you’ll be able to apply an estimate to the following benefits that all yield cost savings.

Competitive rates (50% savings)
With many years of analyst experience and scores of successful projects, the quality of G2 services is akin to the leading national consulting firms yet our rates are much more reasonable. Look at your consulting costs for last fiscal year, then examine your consulting budget for this year. Then cut these figures in half and carefully internalize the savings. That’s how much G2 could have saved your firm!
Reasonable terms
Not only are G2 rates fair, but our terms are very reasonable. For example:
- We bill for actual clock time and do not round up as do most consultants. You’ll find very few other analysts or consultants that charge for actual “hands-on” time.
- We have a very fair policy for billing travel time; easily 50% lower than most competitors. (Hint, we never bill for a full day of travel even if it takes that long!).
Please see our terms section for more examples.
Cost effectiveness
Here are four examples of our cost effective services.
- Guaranteed subcontractor profit margin (33% savings)
G2 does not subcontract-out services; we do our own work. However we’re happy to be retained as your subcontractor. Under a subcontractor relationship, G2 could be billed out at Research Director (Senior – Analyst / Consultant / Project Manager) rates yet paid less than your billable client pays. Hence, there is an automatic profit margin to all firms that outsource to G2.
e.g., If your client pays “3X” per hour, you could retain G2 for “2X” and profit “1X” per hour. In this example by subcontracting to G2 your firm could profit 33% of the cumulative project cost. e.g., If your firm is paid $300,000 for an engagement that you subcontract to G2, you would pay $200,000 to G2, while profiting the balance. That’s $100,000 is pure margin!!
- No overhead costs (29% savings)
Because G2 services are typically reimbursed via a 1099, firms not only experience the aforementioned automatic profit margin, but they don’t incur the traditional 29% additional cost above base salary for – employee benefits, overhead, retirement, workers compensation, insurance and taxes. Hence, if you utilize G2 on a subcontracted basis you could profit an estimated 33% of all cumulative per diem work plus an additional 29% savings for standard yet unrealized – employee expenses. Add this to the already 50% lower market rates and then factor in the savings due to actual billing time (below), and you will begin to grasp the G2 savings.
- No headhunter fees
If you retain G2 for a long-term project you will not only immediately fill your void but you’ll do so without the typical 33% cost of a recruiter.
- No bonus fee
Because G2 is not an employee, you’ll forgo the normal 10% – 20% (of base salary) cost for a yearly bonus.
We’re the first to admit you may not realize all of the above savings. But crunch the numbers and you’ll see the minimum savings is at least 50% and that’s not bad at all!
Superior billing mechanism
Unlike 99% of other consultants / analysts, G2 does not bill in fixed six to fifteen minute increments. Instead, we bill for actual “clock time”. Because most projects are iterative in nature and require hundreds (if not thousands) of “touches” – our billing mechanism could save you vast sums.
- Disclaimer: The following figures are for illustrative purposes only and do not necessarily reflect G2 rates. e.g., If a consultant conducts, ten (10) – five (5) minute client tasks, they would typically bill for ten (10) – fifteen (15) minute charges totaling 150 minutes. If your senior level consultant charged $500/hour, this would result in approximately two billable hours or $1,000. Conversely, G2 would bill for exactly 50 minutes at 50% the competitive hourly rate or $250! Hence, in this example, G2 would save your organization 75% of the standard consultant fee! $250 for G2 or $1,000 for your current consultant; the choice is yours! Now, go back to your budgeting/actual consulting costs and apply the above 75% savings. See what we mean? Now add to this the other cost savings highlighted in our benefits section and you will begin to understand why G2 is your best choice.
Superior (Attorney) business model
Our rates and terms closely follow a standard attorney model. i.e., One free consult, then our time is billable under a retainer contract. What differs is G2 bills for actual clock time and does not round up as do most attorneys. So if you’d like to estimate our cost, look at what you are paying your attorney. That’s about the G2 rate, which is far less than senior analysts / consultants.
New revenue streams
Often times, management refuses to undertake smaller projects due to staffing or time limitations. In these situations, G2 could be cost-effectively utilized to fill the void and in doing so, generate new revenue streams.
Fast turnover
G2 typically works on one project at a time. In the process, dedicating all resources exclusively to your business needs. As a result, all projects are turned over in the shortest duration of time at the highest possible quality standards. Go ask your current consultant how many client engagements that are presently juggling. Our guess would be several or more. Then go ask your analyst firm how many clients they maintain. Our guess would be a few dozen! How do we know this? We’ve been that “Analyst” and we walked away from a lucrative corporate career because of these precise issues! Hopefully it’s clear, the G2’s business model is far superior.
Immediate productivity
Time is money. Should your firm have an open headcount or project, G2 is poised to be immediately productive with a “low-to-no” learning curve. Further, if G2 ever has to master a new skill or learn a new competency, whenever possible we do what it takes on our time. This G2 policy is very unique and could save your firm countless sums.
No supervision
Your last cost savings is that G2 requires little supervision. This frees up administrative time and translates into yet another savings. Normally, we’ll have a kick-off (orientation) meeting. After which, G2 generally typically requires no supervision. Just sit back and let us hand you a finished deliverable. Easy – huh?
Now humor us and take out (virtual) pad and pen and apply the above examples to your business to estimate your potential G2 savings.
If this isn’t enough to convince you, please open the above diagram of top cost savings categories. Still not convinced? Then pick up the phone or better yet fire-up that webcam and let’s meet. G2 is happy to provide a free consult.
