In the near distant past, I was forced to read a few dozen techie journals and several business magazines each month, not to mention two to three newspapers a day–and I still felt like I was behind the power curve. But as an analyst, my life depends upon being on top of the news the second it came off the wires, though the hardcopy material was too old to provide any real competitive edge.
